Get Prepared
Here are a few things you want to think about to get prepared for your glamour/boudoir photo shoot
IT'S TIME TO PAMPER YOURSELF
- Fresh Mani/Padi. Think about colors, which will work with multiple outfits. Neutral is usually the best. Crazy colors and designs will still all the attention from you.
- Get your roots done.
- Eyebrows. Make sure they are in their best shape and you are happy with them.
- If you wax, do it a week before the shoot, if possible.
- Stay out of sun to make sure you don't get a red skin right before the shoot.
- No spray tan please (some exemption with fitness models after the show).
- Apply lotion to keep your skin moisturized.
- Drink plenty of water for luminous skin.
- Lip Balm. Apply several times a day before a shoot to avoid chapped lips.
- Get a good night sleep.
- Watch what you eat a day or two before the shoot. Avoid any food that makes you feel bloated. DON'T SKIP ON EATING on the day of the shoot. We don't want you to feel hungry and fatigue during the session. You will need some energy, believe me. Eating a several small healthy meals instead one big plate is always better. We will also have some food for you in the studio.
- On the day of the shoot shave your legs, armpits and what ever else you need to shave.
- Arrive to the shoot with clean & dry hair, as well as washed & moisturized face.
- If you wear hair extensions, bring them with you.
- Wear something loose before the shoot, so tight clothes will not leave marks on your body.
- GET READY TO HAVE A LOT OF FUN !
WHAT TO WEAR
I like to get a variety of looks for you in one session - from glamour portrait to sexy boudoir as far as you would like to go. Each session include up to 5 outfit changes, so make sure you bring some options - better more then less. I always ask my clients to sent me cellphone photos of outfits they have in mind before the shoot, so I can get inspired by them and create the theme around them. I also might have some options for you to choose from our studio wardrobe collection. We will discuss wardrobe during pre-consultation before the shoot.
Here are some ideas of what to bring.
FOR GLAMOUR PORTRAIT:
You can be as Casual (wearing Jeans) or as Glam (wearing Cocktail dress) as you like.
- Dresses. Long or short. Lace and glitter always look glamourous. If you have some flawy gowns, don't leave then home! We can create some playful movement, you'll love.
- Jeans and Tops. If you are more casual type of person, you can bring a pair of jeans and some cute tops with different necklines and in different colors.
- Scarfs over the shoulders, Button up Sweaters or Jackets on top of the top can add interesting element to the photo as well as create sliming effect.
- Shoes. Bring a few pairs of high hills of different colors and styles. Those will make you feel tall and confident.
- Headpiece. If you have some fun headpieces you would like to feature, tag those along. They can always add some fun to the total look.
- Jewelry. Jewelry can help to finish the look, so bring your favorite peaces with you.
Also if you have anything in your closet that is so crazy looking that you can't even find an occasion to wear, it might be a great idea to bring it to the shoot. You never know what we come up with.
FOR BOUDOIR:
- Panties and bra sets. The style is up to you. I apsolutly love high waist panties, especially on curvy girls. They always look so chick and have some vintage glamourous feel to them. Also don't underestimate longline bras. They are elegant and can give great uplift and support.
- Corsets. They are a great way to define your shape and can be pared with so many things for boudoir or even glamour portrait. They are fun, elegant and very sexy. Yes, they can also be hard to breathe in and hard to move, but at the end it all can really be worth it. To get one that laces up in the back and has room for adjustment can be a great idea, so we can show off those curves.
- Bustiers. It is a modern version of corset. They are usually a bit shorter then corset, but still can give a great coverage as well as a lift. Very ofter bustiers have garters attached to them and can look super sexy. with a pair of stockings. I specially like white or other light pastel colors bustiers for a bridal look.
- Garter Belts/Skirts. With stockings or even without those are always just too much fun!
- Stockings. Stocking might not be for everyone, but surely can help to spice up your picture. Just make sure that they don't squeeze your thighs too tight. If this happened, you could try out the once without elastic at the top. Those look fantastic with the garters.
- Baby Dolls. They are great for a soft, cute and sexy look. They can give you coverage where you want it and support where you need it.
- Robe. Satin or lace for more or less coverage. It can look very romantic and sexy. Sometimes showing less is more and gives a space for fantasy.
- Knit sweaters. Oversized off shoulder knit sweaters look so cozy, warm and sexy practically on everybody.
- Something of His. If you are planing to surprise your man with a gift, you might want to bring something what belong to him. It can be his dress shirt, tie, jersey or even baseball glove. It will make a gift more personable.
- High Heels are a must! They make legs look long and your butt amazing. But Remember 3" heels are not a high heels! You should go a bit higher then that - actually the higher the better! Don't worry, you wouldn't be walking in them too much, so I promise you will have some workout.
- Something Vintage. If you have any vintage lingerie, bring it with you even if you think it looks so old fashion and hideous. It actually can look very interesting in photos.
- Nothing. You can go as far as you feel like. No pressure! But a few photos where you are only covered with a sheet, other propes or an artistic pose can really spice up your album.
I also shoot nudes, but only artistic and tasteful. I am from Europe, were people don't go to sauna fully dressed like here in US, lol. So you will not surprise me with anything. I just see your body as a peace of art, which is captured in a photo as it is shaped by God, you, great lightening and posing in the photo.
